Today Singapore is a thriving economy and an example of modern living in the heart of Southeast Asia. It has many interesting sites including the Merlion, the Port, Orchard Road, the Riverside, classic museums, Little India and China. The original Raffles Hotel and its famous “Lounge Bar” is instantly an interesting site both for its history and because it is currently a great place to listen to live music and have one of their famous, “Singapore Slings.” Singapore has a wealth of opportunities for shoppers, as well as many wonderful restaurants, bars, and clubs. With various amusement parks and entertainments, Sentosa Island has a lot of fun for the whole family. Singapore is also a great place to stop for a night or two on the way to another destination.
